Blasterparts World Tour Part 1: Singapore – World Capital of Blaster Tuning

On our Blasterparts World Tour we will take you to trade fairs, business meetings and product presentations. In this series you will be able to learn more about the world of dartblasters and join us on our quest for the latest and best blasters and parts.

Be it the huge Nerf Titan with a 50 dart magazine, Fortnite blasters for darts and water or new Nerf Rival models – the last two months have been an exciting time for Nerf fans, blaster enthusiasts and toy fans in general. The reason is simple: January and February are the traditional fair and event months for the toy industry. Blasterparts travelled to events all over the world for you. We also had the chance to meet other well-known players from the dartblaster community at the stops on our tour. In almost all countries we found new partners and suppliers to bring you the latest and best blasters and parts. This is the first part to kick off the Blasterparts World Tour and it takes us to the world capital of blaster tuning: Singapore.

How Singapore became Blaster Tuning Central

The flight to the first station of the Blasterparts World Tour took off when most of our colleagues were still on New Year’s holiday. On January 3rd we went to Singapore to meet the guys behind Xplorer and Jet Blaster Tech.

If you want to delve deeper into the Dartblaster scene, you can’t get past Singapore. The scene there, which developed around Nerf and dartblasters, originated in a trivial fact: Airsoft, as it is known in Europe, was and still is banned in Singapore. However, people were not having rules getting in the way of having fun by challenging each other in a sporting way in played battles. This led to an extraordinarily well-developed nerf tuning scene.

By the way, Flywheel blasters are largely frowned upon in Singapore: The motor noise is deemed to be a huge tactical disadvantage. Naturally we also had a look on a few local dealers. Turns out not only is the tuning community doing well over there, but the range of products on offer in the retail sector is quite impressive as well!

Xplorer – Shoot! Shoot!

For a long time, Blasterparts only offered tuning parts and sets that we developed and manufactured ourselves. The first manufacturer to finally make it into our line-up was Xplorer from Singapore. Thus it was obvious: Heng from Xplorer would be our first address in Singapore and he was living up to his catch phrase: „Shoot! Shoot!

Xplorer are aiming for one thing above all else: merciless quality for merciless power! In the Xplorer range there are only parts that Heng, development engineer, developed himself. But he not only develops them, he also produces them piece by piece with CNC milling machines in his factory in Singapore. Tuning sets are available for various well-known models: Retaliator, Longshot and Stampede. This proves once more: in Singapore, people love spring-powered blasters.

As if all of this was not yet impressive enough, Heng doesn’t joke around and also produces entire blaster units of extremely high quality. The power these blasters possess has become legendary on the internet.

The parking lot that Heng uses as a test range in his YouTube videos has even become a famous pilgrimage site for Blaster fanatics. Heng himself is a huge Blaster fan – in one of his Blaster games players even had to conquer an island in the sea off Singapore. With boats, water crossings and nerf blasters. Hard to believe? Here is the video proving it:

Jet Blaster Tech – The Inventors of the Modular Blaster

The CEDA Blaster has revolutionized modding and competitive dartblaster gameplay: Both can be done easily and „out of the box“. Reason enough for us to bring this Blaster to Europe and pay Jet Blaster Tech, the company behind the CEDA dartblaster a visit during our stay.

While the CEDA Blaster is Jet Blaster Tech’s most important product, it is not the only one. Once we arrived in their cool offices, we were introduced to the manufacturer’s plans and were able to discuss some joint ideas. Unfortunately we can’t tell you anything about this yet, but rest assured we have great plans!

The innovative ideas behind the CEDA Blaster are just the beginning. And the best news: Not only new innovations and products will soon make it to Europe, we will also expand our range and offer the remaining articles, such as the Alpha RT Kit, single Katana Magazines and much more on blasterparts.com.

After our stay in Singapore we left heading for our next stop at the Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair. Coming up next on the Blaster Parts World Tour we’ll tell you what was new there, and why the fair itself is not the most exciting part of the fair!
