The Nerf N-Strike Elite [XD] Retaliator profits more than the average blaster from a spring-replacement

If you wish to increase the ranges and velocity of the Retaliator to a point where your opponents will duck at the sheer sight of your Retaliator you have two options: One – you could invest in this aftermarket spring and be done with it. It will be enough to turn your Retaliator into a very convincing argument for surrendering to your superior firepower. Two – you might consider the Retaliator Hard Range Tuning Kit – it includes a spring that is still slightly stronger than this one but makes a few additional parts necessary for the Retaliator to function reliably.

The spring replacement itself is easy – just watch out for the Retaliator’s complex internals!

Be sure to open the Retaliator carefully – if you do you should be able to do this spring replacement within a minute or so. Once the blaster is opened you can just slide the stock spring off the plunger rod located inside the tube on the rear of the Retaliator. Replace it with the Blasterparts modification spring and you are done – provided you don’t need to put any of the internals back into place. If anything shifted and the blaster won’t close without resistance you should check google images (“Nerf Retaliator Internals”).
