The Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot still resides in the top ranks of the Nerf popularity list. The option to operate a mechanical blaster with one hand by using a revolver cock was a milestone and absolute novelty for Dartblasters. Nonetheless something was missing for the ultimate John Wayne experience.

The Blasterparts Full Metal Hammershot Kit: For that little bit of extra style

Of course, we have spared neither trouble nor expense to free the great hammershot of this deficiency and have developed the 'Full Metal Hammershot Modification Kit'.

In addition to the tuning spring already known and popular, this kit consists of a priming cock and a trigger of solid metal. Apart from the fact that the Blaster feels much better in the hand thanks to the greater weight now, the Full Metal Kit upgrades the Hammershot to a noble and more realistic revolver look.

Faster shooting thanks to our Full Metal Hammershot Kit

The shape of the priming lever allows an additonal operation next to the common one-handed operation: The two-handed rapid firing operation, known as 'Fanning'. Those who want to shoot like the heroes (or villains) from Western movies, the Full Metal Hammershot Kit is the perfect addition!

Our advice

To prolong the durability of the metal parts, we recommend to grease the area where priming lever and trigger make contact. A tin with grease is included. The illustration in the image gallery shows the area where the grease should be applied.

The hammershot kit overall is pretty decent. The manual is clear, hammer and trigger are both well made. My hammershot hasn't closed properly in the middle but that could be a me problem. It even came with a little tin with grease inside to lubricate the section where the trigger catches. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the hammershot or even Westerns. Though it makes it a little difficult to prime one handed, fanning or slamfiring with it is beautiful

Looks and performs fantastic but needs lubrication!! Short version: Buy it, but make sure you lubricate the surfaces where the trigger and priming cock make contact. Long version: Ordered this kit and installed with no problems. Makes the hammershot look cooler and increases range. However, after around 200 shots, the surfaces where the trigger and priming cock contact each other had basically grinded to a slope and so would no longer catch. I was now left with a fan-firing only hammershot. Contacted customer service which was very helpful and sent me a new set. This time I added lubrication to those contact surfaces before installing it which significantly slowed down the rate of wear. Just have to reiterate that the customer service is top notch!

The day after I got it, it broke I ordered the hammershot Holster and this kit. The spring worked fine as I thought. I installed the kit in my hammershot and it work very nice. The day after I got it it wouldn’t catch. I found out that the point where they would catch was cracked off. Then I ordered the gunmetal version and it works fine. But I am still a little disappointed of the kit, but when it worked it worked great. Edit from Blasterparts: Be sure to grease the area where the two parts make contact as in the description. Then the two parts won't wear off! Happy blasting!
