The performance of the blaster is absolutely acceptable, however the much heavier Mega Darts require a decent amount of energy to accelerate them and get them into distance. Fortunately the blaster is very solid and thus can handle a much stronger spring with ease.

Do it the easy way!

The blaster has to be opened completely to install the Blasterparts Modification Spring. At first unscrew the sled and take away the upper half of its case. Look carefully at the lower half and memorize the location of the return spring. Now open the rest of the case. The easiest way is to screw the spring off the T-piece of the plunger. So you avoid having to take all the internals. Just bend a little gap into the upper whorl of the spring and slide it over the plunger end piece, than twist the spring until it’s screwed off. It’s even easier to apply the Blasterparts Modification Spring. Insert it at an angle and put the lower end of the plunger’s T-piece through the last gap on the upper whorl of the Mod Spring. Now simply screw the spring over the plunger. Check the position of the T-piece of the plunger in the slider. Now you can screw the cases back together. Before assembling the slider, pick the end of the return spring with some pointy tool and put it back into its original position.
