Whistling is so yesterday, hear me howl!
The whistling sound of flying Mega Darts is one of the reasons why we have so much fun with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Mega blasters. Our Blasterparts Modification Spring turns this whistling into a frightening howl. Additionally, range and velocity increase noticeably.
The spring's 8kg of equivalent mass accelerates the Mega darts more. This leads to a higher amount of impact energy. Combined with the large impact area, this results in a satisfying, noticeable yet still safe hit.
Features of the Modification Spring for the Nerf N-Strike Elite Mega Magnus
- Equivalent mass of spring: 7kg
- Firing range increase: about 100%
- Muzzle velocity increase: about 80%
- Difficulty level of spring installation: moderate
Installing the Blasterparts Modification Spring
Thanks to its build, installing the Magnus Spring is quite simple.
First, remove the left half of the sled before you unscrew the rest of the shell. When you open the blaster, you may have to loose pieces: one orange plate and a zig-zag-shaped spring. Both of which can be placed back in position shortly before closing the blaster. The plastic plate sits loosely in two hinges and the spring is attached to the blaster with a red pin inside the shell.
Remove the main assembly containing the spring by disconnecting Sled and barrel. To do that, simply pull the noose off the grey barrel from sled's connection pin in the front of the blaster. Now you can remove the plunger assembly and exchange the spring. Insert the assembly back into the blaster, starting at the back. To close the shell, apply some force to make the clamps connect.
