X-Shot – Turbo Advance

The new X-Shot series in white convinces with good quality, excellent performance and a low price. Today we review the Turbo Advance!

The Turbo Advance is a serious player on any field. The double-row drum with 40 darts allows for long gameplay without reloading. The Turbo Advance is also a pump action blaster, which makes it even more efficient.

Unboxing

The box is huge! One of the biggest boxes I got my hands on in the last years. Inside we find the blaster, a drum, two screens to fix on the blaster above the drum and incredible 96 darts! That makes a total of exactly 100 parts.

Handling

This Blaster works quite simple to operate. The drum is loaded with 40 darts. Release the security pin and push it towards the pump handle. Now the drum can be inserted and the security pin can be pulled back until it snaps into place. The drum is already in position and the fun can begin. To shoot, pull back the pump handle to prime the spring. The drum also rotates and the next chamber is set up for the next shot. Thanks to a spring on the inside, the pump handle does not have to be pushed forward manually, but returns to its original position even if you just let it go. Now you can shoot until the first 20 darts are gone.

Once this is done, you can push the button on the left side down or up to switch from the outer ring to the inner ring or vice versa. This ring division also simplifies reloading during the game. The selection button as well as the button for the security pin are clearly designed for right-handers. The security pin can be released quite easily, if you grab around the blaster, but to change from the inner to the outer drum ring, you have to grab around the blaster if you’re a left-handed player. Also the grip could be a bit bigger. The handle of the handguard starts quite high up, forcing you have to put the fingers of your hand quite close together around the handle.

Performance

My measurements showed an average of 73 FPS, which is the upper elite level. The Turbo Advance has a huge advantage with its very high capacity and the performance of the blaster is also very convincing!

Internals

The Turbo Advance is easy to open and contains no hidden screws. First you have to remove the security pin and the pump handle, then the whole cover opens up. For optical modding the dark blue areas can be separated from the white ones and painted separately. This also simplifies more complicated colour combinations. The plunger tube is slightly larger than that of Retaliator and Co.

Personal Impression

I love this blaster! 40 Shot Drum Front Loader Pump Action! All the things I like about dartblasters merged together in one. Straight out of the box ready for use, a bunch of extra darts – perfect for anyone looking to build their arsenal. Only a shoulder stock would have been nice. But that’s something we can leave to the mo
