TITAN – Is Nerf’s Minigun coming to Germany?

Since the first pictures showed up, Dartblaster fans all over the internet have been discussing this monster intensely – A Dartblaster Minigun which looks like a whole lot of fun! Here’s everything we know about the Blaster.

First of all: We have collected this information and rumors from third-party sources and derived them from product pictures that are already circulating. In other words: We cannot officially confirm anything we write here. We’re just doing our best to summarize all the existing information about the Titan that’s already out there. Rest assured: We will update this post as soon as we know more.

Nerf’s Minigun for hipfire

The Titan is massive! It’s obviously meant to be fired from the hip, indicated by the positioning of the grips and the strap mounts. This does make sense considering a minigun fired like a rifle would look very silly indeed. A mount would be very impractical, so this is the glorious midway that Rambo and the Terminator would take as well – very appealing!

Known design elements

If you take a closer look at the Nerf Titan, you will recognize some of its features. The colour scheme is the one of Nerf#s N-Strike Elite Series: Blue as the basic colour, with orange contrasting parts and a few dark grey accents. It’s also obvious that the Jamdoor as well as the cooling elements at the rear end of the blaster resemble the Infinus. The cage, which contains the huge double drum magazine, on the other hand is reminiscent of the Prometheus of Nerf’s Rival series.

A Flywheel Blaster

The Titan’s huge double drum magazine obviously looks like it’s compatible with other blasters – a principle Hasbro has always been true to with Nerf products. We’d be quite surprised if they’d change it all of a sudden. The two orange switches, one for the thumb and one for the index finger, which are attached to the rear handle, suggest it’s a flywheel blaster. One switch, probably the one for the thumb, the same that does it for the Vulcan and the Prometheus, would then ready the weapon by setting the flywheels in motion while the one for the index finger would trigger a dart storm. If the Titan wants to be a true minigun, the barrel bundle would have to rotate of course, which would most likely happen at the same time as the flywheels. This is indicated in the pictures of the packaging as well. Viewed from the front, however, it’s fair to assume the barrel inside is simply a large tube and not many small ones. Anything else would probably limit the functionality of the Blaster considerably and make it very complicated mechanically.

The long lost legendary double drum magazine

If you’ve been part of the scene a bit longer, you’ve probably heard of the legendary 50 darts double drum magazine for Nerf’s Stampede. A magazine many have wished for for a long, long time. rumours have it, it never got released due to technical complications and unfortunate timing. All the more reason for us to be happy it’ll finally arrive with the Titan! Hasbro couldn’t have come up with a better blaster than this foam flinging minigun monstrosity for the release of this ginormous magazine!

Will the Titan be coming to Germany?

Dartblaster fans in Germany have been suffering since the Rival series at the latest. This is why everyone is anxious whether the Titan will make it to Germany. Unfortunately there is no official information about this yet. As soon as there is a statement from Hasbro, you’ll find it here. We are at least as curious as you are!

Update: Nerf’s Titan will indeed be coming to Europe and Germany. We will make an announcement as soon as we open preorders.
