Blaster Mod of the Week: Breacher

The community on Blasted.de is the German speaking dartblaster community! In this series we’ll present a new awesome mod from the community once a week, every week.

Blaster of the Week

The „Breacher“ combines two things on a very high level in an absolutely masterful way! On the one hand a really excellent wood painting. And on the other hand a conversion from the steampunk world, which looks conclusive and functional. The form of the Nerf Rough Cut was perfectly taken up here. The round, organic shapes have been suitably transformed into wood and the cut is filled with the mechanics that makes up the steampunk aspect.

Modder to Modder

It should be mentioned that I am probably not the only one who learned from Rebound how to paint wood grain on blaster, but I have often used this technique in the past. The really interesting detail on this blaster are the well thought out gearwheels and mechanical parts. It is a popular prejudice to say that many people would just stick a gear on something and call it steampunk. Well, here it is done right. It deliberately shows only a „snippet“ of the mechanics that might be hidden inside. Also, care is taken to ensure that all the parts fit into each other and are connected. These details make the difference between a successful steampunk mechanism and an artificial looking ornamental element.

Blasterparts Mod of the Week

We will continually post a Mod of the Week from here on and would love your support. Maybe you’d contribute a few sentences for our Modder to Modder section if we present your mod, make suggestions which mod should be next or discuss, ask and help one another with tips and tricks around our favourite hobby.
